Are you a practical, organised, and commercially minded generalist marketer looking for your next step? We’re working with a growing organisation in the technical and engineering space. They’re looking for a proactive and curious marketing professional to join their team.
This role sits at the heart of the business and offers real ownership across a broad range of marketing activities, from content creation to campaign implementation and performance tracking. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams and help shape how the business engages with its audiences.
What we’re looking for
Ideally, you’ll be an organised and commercially minded generalist marketer who enjoys variety and responsibility. You’ll be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, working closely with technical and commercial teams, and taking ownership of marketing activity from brief through to delivery.
This role suits someone who likes structure, pays close attention to detail, and can confidently translate complex or technical concepts into clear, engaging content.
Do you have?
3–4 years’ experience in a generalist marketing role
Experience working within a technical, commercially focused business
Strong content writing skills, with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
A practical, hands-on approach and confidence managing multiple tasks at once
Ideally a degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing or a related field
A full UK driving licence (you don’t need to own a car, but you do need to be able to drive)
What you’ll be doing
This is a broad, hands-on marketing role where no two weeks look the same. You’ll support marketing activity across multiple channels, helping the business communicate its value clearly and consistently to a global audience.
You’ll:
Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns and ongoing activity
Create and edit written content for digital channels, campaigns, and internal use
Work closely with technical and commercial teams to turn complex ideas into clear messaging
Help manage marketing materials, processes, and systems to ensure accuracy and consistency
Track activity, support reporting, and contribute to continuous improvement across marketing output
Why apply?
This is a rare opportunity to join a highly respected, technically led organisation that invests in its people, culture, and long-term growth. The business operates on a global scale, yet retains a collaborative and thoughtful working environment where marketing plays a genuinely valued role.
The salary on offer is highly competitive for the current market, reflecting both the technical nature of the business and the importance placed on hiring high-quality marketers. You’ll also benefit from a stable, well-structured team, clear expectations, and the chance to build your career within a commercially focused environment.
Location
This role follows a hybrid working pattern, with 3 days per week in the Cambridge office and 2 days working from home.
You’ll need to be able to drive to the office, making the role commutable from Cambridge and surrounding areas including Ely, Newmarket, Royston, Haverhill, St Neots, Huntingdon, Saffron Walden, and parts of Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Essex.
